I am a NYS certified Childhood and Special Education Teacher. I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a B.S. in Education, and am currently pursuing a M.Ed. in Health and Wellness Education from American College of Education. I started out teaching elementary school on Long Island, where I grew up, and before coming to Brooklyn I spent some time teaching abroad in Bermuda, Ghana, and Mexico. Last year I taught first grade, and since then have decided to leave the classroom to pursue tutoring full-time and continue my work developing an after school program addressing children’s self-esteem.
When I’m not tutoring, you can find me riding my bike around Brooklyn, playing soccer, singing, learning a new song on the piano, or researching the next place I want to travel to! I love people, and getting to connect with students and their families is one of my favorite things about tutoring. I also really love pickles.
